Chery OMODA 5 GT is ready to be sent to consumers at the end of October

Jakarta, 27 October 2023 - Chery OMODA 5 GT, the Premium Crossover SUV from Chery, will soon be distributed to consumers at the end of October after being launched last September. PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI), is currently completing Completely Knock Down (CKD) production to fulfill orders for the Chery OMODA 5 GT from September to October. The Chery OMODA 5 GT FWD variant is the first product to be sent to consumers, while deliveries of the AWD variant will follow in December.

"We are currently carrying out CKD production for the Chery OMODA 5 GT with a target of delivery to consumers at the end of October. "We are very enthusiastic about this production process because this is one way for us to prove that Chery's work system is fast, professional and on time as promised," said Qu Jizong, Executive Vice President of PT Chery Sales Indonesia.

The presence of the Chery OMODA 5 GT follows the success of the previous Chery OMODA 5, namely the RZ and Z, as a form of CSI's commitment to presenting Chery's superior models in Indonesia. With the increasing variety of models offered, Chery believes that the potential for acceptance by automotive enthusiasts in Indonesia will also be greater. Both the FWD and AWD variants of the Chery OMODA 5 GT will provide an aggressive but still efficient and enjoyable driving experience on various contours and textures of roads in Indonesia.

FWD and AWD variants with more aggressive performance
Chery OMODA 5 GT presents two impressive variants, namely Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) and All-Wheel Drive (AWD). Both are equipped with a 1,600 T GDI engine which is capable of producing 197 HP of power and 290 Nm of torque, as well as a 7-Speed Dual Clutch (DCT) transmission which guarantees superior performance and driving dynamics. Furthermore, with the Independent Multilink Suspension and Intelligent Combustion System (iHEC), increased thermal efficiency can reach up to 41% and can help maintain performance and fuel efficiency in both variants.

Apart from performance advantages, the AWD variant also offers six driving modes that can be adapted to various road conditions in Indonesia. Starting from Normal and ECO modes for everyday use, aggressive Sport mode for highway travel, as well as mud, gravel and offroad, the Chery OMODA 5 GT AWD is ready to face various challenges. The 19-inch All Black alloy wheels add a tough impression to the AWD variant, while the FWD variant is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels with orange accents which add a sporty impression.

Futuristic and sportier design
Chery OMODA 5 GT has an exclusive exterior design with the OMODA logo as an emblem on the front and rear hood of the car. The grille matches the car's body color, as well as the metallic orange rims and elements on the GT variant, adding a fashionable and sporty impression. The interior also looks attractive with rose gold colored access points.

Latest Driving Safety and Technology
As a global product with high quality, the Chery OMODA 5 GT has obtained five-star safety certification from the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP). Safety and driver assistance (ADAS) features are among the highest standards, with the addition of the L2+ Autonomous Driving System improving driving performance. The AWD variant is equipped with a Driver Monitoring System to provide special attention to the driver's condition.

Chery provides a special sales program to consumers who make purchases in October. For buyers who pay in cash, Chery provides free insurance for one year.
